Paul represented the company quite well and explained the necessary repairs clearly and concisely. Paul presented photos of previous job sites and he explained with pictures and diagrams what work we needed to have completed to assist in the selling of our property. The work was completed on schedule and done neatly, considering the fact that a trench had to be dug completely around the inside perimeter of the basement, a sump pump had to be added, the drain tiles needed replacement and the trench needed to be covered smoothly with concrete. In addition, one wall showed slight movement and needed shoring up with steel braces. We appreciated that Paul stated that he would be glad to speak to any perspective buyers about the repairs his men had done and these buyers were more than welcome to contact him with any questions or concerns.

I am happy to recommend Accurate Basement Repair, who recently installed a sump pump system in our house. They made sure we understood what the problem was, what our options were, and once we had chosen one, explained what would be done, step by step. The work was completed quickly and our basement was left neat and clean. In addition, Accurate Basement was able to arrange for the services of a plumber and an electrician, since we preferred that to coordinating their help on our own. Last but certainly not least, the price was very reasonable and well worth it.

We met with Chris Mancuso from Accurate Basement to obtain an assessment of the water problems in our 1950’s duplex. Our fear was the drain tiles under the floor were cracked and not draining water into the crock. Chris arrived promptly and proceeded to make an external assessment of the property. He began the inspection by stating that a high majority of water problems in basements are due to drainage issues on the outside of the property. There were several remedial issues he pointed out to us, including mud jacking of an area that had settled, increasing the size of the downspouts, making sure the gutters were thoroughly cleaned, cutting the downspouts up so there was a greater flow of water coming out the bottom, and increasing the slope of dirt away from the home. He then proceeded into the basement to continue his analysis. After looking at the locations of where all the water was coming in, he checked out our sump pump and the crock and suggested performing a drain tile test to determine if the system was hampered. However, he stated that because we were not in the middle of a sale transaction, we should first do the remedial actions he recommended to us and see what happens. We spent a few days taking care of the items Chris mentioned to us and then waited for rain. The day after we got rain, Chris called us to find out how things were going. We happily reported to him there was not one drop of water in the basement. His suggestions worked!! Our experience with Chris was wonderful. He was honest, forthright and knowledgeable. When I discovered that I needed to have some work done to my basement walls, I called approximately one dozen contractors for estimates. I figured this would allow me to hear from a number of experts in the field regarding what needs to be done and it would also provide me with a better understanding of the construction process. Once I met Chris from Accurate Basement Repair, I knew I found the contractor I wanted to work with. I met with Chris on two separate occasions before signing the contract. He took the time to explain in detail what needed to be done, how it will be done and answered any questions I had. Since this was all new to me, I had a lot of questions and Chris actually told me things that I never would have even thought about. The most time any other contractors spent with me was 30 minutes and that included their inspection of the basement and the time it took to write up a formal bid! Just days before the construction started, Chris returned to do final measurements on one fo the walls, go over final details and verify the work that was to be done. This meeting put me totally at ease as to what was going to happen and it helped to settle all of second thoughts regarding the repairs. When Fred and his crew showed up at my house, I was in for another surprise. Everyone knew what needed to be done and who was doing what. Even when Fred left the jobsite, the work continued without interruption and everyone kept to their duties as if the boss was still there. Not only did they do an outstanding job in the basement, they took the time to protect things on the outside of the house as well. They used plywood to protect the lawn and driveway and at the end of the day when the plywood was removed, they raked the grass so you couldn’t tell where the plywood was and the driveway was hosed down of any dirt. They even used a sweeper to clean the street in front of my house. Everyone I dealt with at Accurate Basement Repair was 100% professional and courteous. They were patient with me and my endless list of questions and they helped change a scary situation into a positive experience.

We had a great experience. We did a lot of research on potential contractors and received several estimates. While Accurate’s quote was the highest of the estimates received, we also felt that they did (by far) the most thorough job during the quotation process. Chris came over 3-4 times during that quote process to ensure that he could provide the most thorough quote possible to avoid later surprises. He tested our drain tile (which none of the other contractors did) and waited to provide a final quote until we removed enough of the basement drywall to allow him to get a complete picture of the condition of the foundation. He only recommends work that he feels is necessary – he will not try to oversell to earn additional business (as other contractors tried to do). Communication before and during the job was excellent. The job was completed in two days. The crew cleaned up the basement and the yard very nicely. We feel confident that our basement issues are behind us. Continue the great work!
